ACACIA GUM

Gum Acacia is also known as Gum Arabic, Gum Sudani or Senegal gum. It is a natural gum originally consisting of the hardened sap of two species of the Acacia tree, Senegalia Senegal and Vachellia Seyal. Gum arabic is a complex mixture of glycoproteins and polysaccharides, predominantly polymers of arabinose and galactose. Gum arabic is soluble in water, edible, and a rich source of dietary fibers. In addition to its widespread use in food and pharmaceutical industries as a safe thickener, emulsifier, and stabilizer; it also possesses a broad range of health benefits like anti-diabetic, anti-obesity, antioxidant activities, kidney and liver support etc.
